I know, I know. It's been around forever. But I subscribe to so many good shows. But this show is one of the best holiday shows I've ever heard. (Podcast or not.)

I’m going to do my show notes a little differently from now on. They will be a little more narrative. A little less like a laundry list. The picture you see above is of me right around the right age for my Christmas story, and I’ve got my foot propped up on the very porch mentioned in the story. The house at 99 Cannon Avenue, built in the 1800s, is still there. I remember that my dad made some kind of repair in the house that caused him to pry up one of the floorboards in the living room. The board was at least an inch thick and was fastened down to the cross members with hand made nails hammered out by a blacksmith.
The show features three stories. The first one about a Hanukkah misadventure was told by Richard Bluestein. The second and third stories were written and told by me.
Some of the background music used was licensed production music. But several pieces were the work of “podsafe” artists, all of which I found at the Podsafe Music Network.
“Give Me A Second Chance For Christmas” by The Candy Butchers from their CD “Let’s Get Christmas”
“Equinoxal” by Incidental Fusion, from their CD “Equinoxal”
“I Still Remember” by Jim Fidler, from his album “Midnight Rover”
“Lillian, A Portrait in Sound” by Jim Fidler, from his album “Midnight Rover”
“If Every Day Were Christmas” by Podsafe For Peace
The show wraps up with the first ever REAL commercial on Digital Flotsam (there have been many fake ones), and I’d like to thank Earthlink for helping to make this show possible.
Brian Noe of The Frank Truth supplied that rich voice of his to that FAKE ad at the top of the show.
